Transport

To help Barking Riverside become a sustainable community, public transport will be the easy and accessible option for people living on or visiting the site.

Initially the site will be served by the East London Transit (ELT) the proposed docklands light railway extension to Barking town centre will further improve transport links. However alongside the ELT we wish to see a new Docklands Light Railway (DLR) service to Canary Wharf, the City of London and the Dagenham Dock Interchange.

In addition to new public transport links work will also be undertaken to improve the local road network and in particular to the A13 junction.
