Central to the development of Barking Riverside is a generous range of new community facilities, tailored to meet the needs of the whole community and specific needs of families, young people and the elderly.

Currently plans for Barking Riverside will include a broad range of shopping facilities, healthcare facilities, leisure space and three new schools, two primary and one secondary, all of which will be phased in to ensure that new residents have the key amenities in place when they move into their homes.

The first phase of development will include a primary school alongside a local neighbourhood centre containing health and community and shopping facilities.
